Summary, etc In Plymouth, in Devon, Casper became a national celebrity when newspapers ran the story of the black-and-white cat that regularly took the Number Three bus on eleven-mile journeys around his home town. Susan Finden, his owner, had wondered where her elusive pet was disappearing to each day, whilst Casper was brightening the lives of countless commuters on their journeys. Bus drivers were alerted to the fact that a small and furry passenger might board their vehicle and he became a mascot for the bus company. A very special cat, Casper and his remarkable story touched the lives of many people.
