It's 1901 and Lizzie and her family are working at Glasgow's International Exhibition. While selling tickets, Lizzie rescues Alice from attack by her moody, dangerous fiance, Charles. As Lizzie and Alice's friendship deepens so does the danger posed by Charles, especially as Alice has fallen in love with William, one of his employees.
